Description
This target appeared in the 1965 drainage photo of Martindale Pond as a faint but hull-shaped impression in the silt near the northern edge of the waterway. It appears again in 2006 aerial imagery as a subtle anomaly in water color and vegetation growth, suggesting it may still rest just beneath the pond floor.
Its small size and peripheral location hint it may be a debris vessel, support craft, or a derelict left behind during site restructuring post-Third Canal.
