Description
Built in 1873 by the Kirby Brothers, the Sport served for nearly five decades. In 1886, the vessel underwent modifications, including dimensional changes. On December 13, 1920, the Sport Foundered in Lake Huron off the coast of Lexington, Michigan, during harsh winter conditions. The exact cause of its sinking remains undocumented, but such incidents were often due to heavy seas, machinery failure, or ice.
