We have just added a popular Lake Huron shipwreck to our 3DShipwrecks.org website and database.

The 126 ft. two-masted schooner F. T. Barney was built in 1856 in Vermillion, OH. It had a relatively short career of eleven years with only one grounding incident listed in its history.

In October of 1868 it collided with schooner TRACY J. BRONSON off Rogers City while carrying coal bound for Milwaukee. It sank quickly but all of the crew escaped the sinking.

Today it is part of the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and a popular dive site. The model was created from 1,548 30-megapixel images shot by Andrew Goodman in the 2024 season.

The link to the new model is: https://3dshipwrecks.org/shipwreck-f-t-barney/ and the location is shown in the second image.
