We have just added an Apostle Islands shipwreck and popular dive site to our 3DShipwrecks.org website and database.

The 135 ft Derrick Barge Finn McCool was built in 1926 and was used in the Apostle Islands lumber trade. Named after an Irish mythological hunter warrior, the Finn McCool changed owners seven times in its career. After it was abandoned in 1964, it was towed to its current location but still had a two-story deckhouse and deck winches, parts of which stuck out of the water.
In the 1980’s the bow still stuck out of the water and the hull was intact, but the deckhouse was gone. Today the sides of the hull, bow and deck have collapsed but the winch machinery is still visible on site.

The model was created from 3,356 images shot on two dives by Andrew Goodman and Ken Merryman. The link to the new model is: https://3dshipwrecks.org/shipwreck-finn-mccool/ and the location is shown in the second image.
