T.A. Ivey & Sons of Port Dover

In 1945, the Brown Brothers was purchased by T.A. Ivey & Sons, a well-known company based in Port Dover, Ontario. The Ivey family was deeply involved in the fishing industry and maritime services along Lake Erie. Upon acquiring the vessel, T.A. Ivey & Sons renamed it Iveyrose and converted it to diesel power, a modernization that reflected the changing technological needs of the maritime industry. The vessel served as part of their fleet, supporting fishing operations and contributing to the economic activities of Port Dover, a thriving center for commercial fishing and trade.
