The City of Belleville was a propeller vessel constructed in 1878 in St. Catharines, Ontario. It had a wooden hull with two decks and was built by L. Shickluna. The original owners of the vessel were Bogart, McIntosh & Leavens, based in Belleville, Ontario.

The City of Belleville was powered by a single high-pressure screw engine with one cylinder and one boiler. The engine, manufactured by G.N. Oille in St. Catharines, Ontario, had dimensions of 16″ x 16″ and provided 50 horsepower.

The vessel had a length of 89.4 feet, a beam of 15.4 feet, and a depth of 7 feet. It had a gross tonnage of 101.17 tons and a net tonnage of 68.8 tons.

On February 17, 1914, the City of Belleville met its unfortunate end when it burned down. The incident occurred in Prescott, Ontario, on the St. Lawrence River.

Throughout its history, the City of Belleville operated on the Collingwood & Parry Sound route, serving as a transportation vessel. However, its service was abruptly terminated due to the fire in 1914.
