Discovery #

During an Airshow at the CNE in Toronto ON an aircraft crashed into the Harbour.

During the recovery operations at least 2 other objects were identified but not deemed related to the A/C. In 2005 Ian Marshal of the NDA was in possession of the numbers and he passed them to a Sean from the local area. Sean and his buddy called me Tom Rutledge and with 2 friends in tow, we grabbed a sidescan and confirmed Ian’s Numbers.

The first hit was a large I beam standing at least 15 feet off the bottom in 130ffw the second turned out to be a tug.

A few days later Sean, Barry Mutch and Rob Deluca conducted a dive on the tug and identified it as a tug. A got a call right after the dive and one of the divers was actually on the phone with the Construction Company that lost it.

So Ian’s Tug was no longer unidentified unfortunately for Ian. 😛 A short history of the wreck.
