Site Description
Type: Scuba Park
Depth: to 35 feet
Attractions: An overall shallow site with little to see. About slight slope goes down to 30 feet, and flattens out to a silty featureless bottom. The amenities, like the public bathroom, easy entry, and sheltered location somewhat make up for the lack of attractions.
Access: Shore. Parking at Minet’s Point Park. Suit up and walk down to the sandy beach. Surface swim out past the weeds. While this site can be dived year round, it is best to avoid it between May 24 weekend and Thanksgiving, due to the heavy boat traffic.
Visibility: 10 feet. A very deep, silty bottom makes for 0 visibility when stirred up.
