nicknamed “Stern Castle” because the schooner’s pronounced raised stern is her most prominent feature. Although the midsection of the wreck is almost entirely silted over, the bow and stern both rise out of the silt. In limited visibility, the heavy silt makes it easy to think you’ve lost the wreck. However, you can usually orient yourself by keeping an eye on her masts. Her wheel is in place and much of her running gear can still be explored.
