The scow Alice Mary will be an entire loss. The rigging was brought to the city today.

British Whig, Kingston April 29, 1882 #

The Napanee Express remarks that the swelling of the peas, in the sunken scow Alice Mary, may cause the hull to burst. The timbers were in a decayed condition and the vessel is likely to become a total wreck. The farmers have purchased a large quantity of the peas for the fattening of their hogs.

British Whig, Kingston May 5, 1882 #

Capt. Allen purchased the wreck of the sloop Alice Mary, which went ashore at Phillip’s Point, laden with peas. It was towed to the city last evening by the tug F.A. Folger. She will be raised here and repaired. The craft was sunk so that nothing but her deck could be seen.
